The finishing topcoat layer is still sticky or tacky to the touch and doesn't seem to be curing at all despite adding the right amount of catalyst and mixing well.
This usually happens on very hot days Where the sun beats down on the top surface of the roof and heats up the deck underneath. This heat will inhibit the cure and will stop the topcoat fully curing.
If the correct amount of catalyst has been added then the topcoat will cure, it just might take longer than expected, check the roof after 48 hours and if it's still tacky then you can abrade the uncured areas and re-apply in cooler conditions.
In the height of summer always try to apply the topcoat in the later afternoon or if you need to leave it overnight then first thing in the morning.

Fibrelast kits are a quick and easy way to get everything you need for your next roofing project. In this section, we look at the different options available when choosing your Kit.
Fibrelast kits go up to a maximum of 50m². If you have a roof bigger than this then please contact our technical support team who will create a custom kit, or you can order the individual items in the Fibrelast Store.
Fibrelast is available in four colours with Iron Grey being the standard finish. The other colours are made to order, so please allow an additional 3 working days for production.
There are three types of Fibrelast roofing kits all using different fibreglass reinforcement weights. The Standard Kit uses 450gm and is great for projects with no foot traffic whereas the High Density and Ultra High Density kits use 600gm and dual 450gm for a stronger finish.
Fibrelast as with any GRP Roofing system can only be applied to OSB decking for maximum adhesion. If you require a product that bonds to an existing surface then Fibrecoat or Overcoat are the best products suited for this type of project.
