Overview
What is Roof Filler?
Roof Filler is a lightweight compound designed to fill uneven areas on flat roofs, eliminating dips where water tends to collect. Made from recycled rubber crumb, polystyrene beads and a high-performance binding agent, it creates a strong yet low-weight base ready for overcoating. Easy to apply and environmentally conscious, Roof Filler restores proper drainage by levelling out problem areas. Once sealed with the optional topcoat or Overcoat, the repaired surface is fully watertight, eliminating standing water on your flat roof.
The product is quick and easy to install, requiring no specialist tools and allowing for fast application. Its lightweight formulation, made with recycled rubber crumb and polystyrene beads, reduces structural load while providing a strong, stable base. Once overcoated, it delivers a long-lasting, durable solution that maintains performance over time. Each kit offers efficient coverage of approximately 1m² at 18mm thickness, making it easy to plan and apply with minimal waste.

Application Summary
This is just a summary of the process, a detailed guide will be included in the kit.
Preparation
Start by identifying and marking the area where ponding occurs on the roof surface. Clean thoroughly to remove dirt, dust, moss and any loose material. A pressure washer or general-purpose cleaner can be useful for heavily soiled areas. Make any necessary repairs to ensure a sound base. The surface must be completely dry before application.
Priming
Pour the supplied accelerator into the primer and give it a good mix to activate it properly. Using a brush, apply the primer to the marked area, making sure to go about 50 millimetres beyond the edges where the filler will end. You only need around 500 millilitres at this stage, which is roughly a quarter of the tub. The rest will be used later when you mix the filler.
Mixing
Pour the rubber crumb, polystyrene beads and remaining binder into the supplied mixing bag. Seal the bag with the cable tie and mix the contents for around four to five minutes, rolling the bag on a flat surface helps achieve a consistent blend. If you’re working on a small area, you can mix the components directly in the bucket instead.
Application
After mixing, pour the compound onto the primed area and spread it evenly with a trowel or straight-edge. Keep the tool dampened with solvent to avoid sticking. Compress the material firmly, especially around the edges, to prevent water ingress and leave a smooth base. Once dry, apply the top coat to seal the surface and ensure a watertight finish.
