Chopped strand matting is the reinforcement material in a fibreglass Roofing system. It consists of glass fibers laid randomly across each other and held together by a binder. That binder is broken down when laid with a fibreglass roofing basecoat to form a strong seamless protective barrier.

Overcoat kits provide a quick and easy way to get everything needed for your upcoming roofing project. In this section, we look at some of the different options available when choosing your kit.
Overcoat kits go up to a maximum of 50m². If you have a roof bigger than this then please contact our technical support team who will create a custom kit, or you can order the individual items in the Overcoat Store.
The Layers option lets you select either a single or two-layer application, which increases the quantity of Overcoat resin in the kit. Two layers increased durability and is typically used on higher-wear areas with heavy foot traffic.
Overcoat is available in over twenty colours but are only supplied in larger tins. As our kits include smaller cans, only the standard colour is available. If you need a different colour, contact us to arrange a custom kit or order the larger tins from the store.
Overcoat can be applied to nearly any roof surface, and the kits are available in over 10 different surface combinations. These kits include the specific primers needed to bond Overcoat to the roof’s surface, so always check that you have the correct kit for your substrate.

Fibrelast is available in four colours with Iron Grey being the standard finish. The other colours are made to order, so please allow an additional 3 working days for production.
There are three types of Fibrelast roofing kits all using different fibreglass reinforcement weights. The Standard Kit uses 450gm and is great for projects with no foot traffic whereas the High Density and Ultra High Density kits use 600gm and dual 450gm for a stronger finish.
Fibrelast as with any GRP Roofing system can only be applied to OSB decking for maximum adhesion. If you require a product that bonds to an existing surface then Fibrecoat or Overcoat are the best products suited for this type of project.
