Overview

Fibretrims are manufactured from pultruded glass fibre plastics in the UK to ISO9001 standards. The enhanced composition ensures that the trims are extremely durable, maintenance free and resilient to adverse weather conditions.

There are over 20 different pre-formed Fibretrims designed to accommodate the most common roof details. The profiles come in 3-metre lengths and are supplied in a pre-coloured finish for easy overpainting with the Fibrecoat resin system, the profiles can be easily cut on-site to follow the alignment of the roof's edge.

A range of pre-formed corners have been designed to compliment the Fibretrim profiles that eliminates the need for on-site mitre cutting or additional lamination, These corners ensure a neat, accurate and watertight detail at any change in roof direction.

Application

The D260 is an angle fillet trim, fitted where the roof abuts a wall or vertical face, against parapet walls, in box gutters etc.

It’s compatible with C2 and C3 universal corners. An angle fillet generally does not require a batten or to be bonded with trim adhesive. Place the trim against the vertical face and push down diagonally into the corner until the trim fits snugly. Where the trims are overlapped they should be bonded with Sharkseal or standard trim adhesive and bandaged together.

Do not nail through the front of the trim, where the trims are overlapped, they should be bonded together with a thin strip of Sharkseal or standard roofing trim adhesive on the inside of the overlapping trim. If the pitch of the roof is only minimal, rainwater is likely to hold behind the trim. Use a planning machine to take 2mm off the deck to allow the trim to lay flush with the board.
