Make sure you’ve got everything ready for your Fibrelast GRP roofing project


CHECKLIST

CHOPPED STRAND MATTING (FIBREGLASS)

Chopped strand matting in either 450gm or 600gm pre-cut to the size of the roof in lengths as per our guide, you will also need some fibreglass bandage for the seams.

FIBRELAST RESIN AND TOPCOAT

The required amount of Fibrelast base and finish with some in reserve in case of wastage.

CATALYST

You'll want to have your catalyst in the special measuring dispenser ready to go.

TOOLS

Have plenty of brushes and buckets as well as both standard and special consolidating rollers, you may also need some masking tape for the joints and also PU Adhesive for the trims.

PERSONAL SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Fibreglassing is a messy processes and clothing and footwear very rarely survives, so make sure you aren’t wearing your best and remember these products are chemicals so always wear the appropriate safety gloves, overalls and eye protection before using the materials.

TOOL CLEANER

Make sure you have some acetone available to clean your tools ready for re-use. Always keep the top on the acetone and keep away from any naked flames.

TRIMS

Have your GRP roofing trims and corners cut, organised and ready to nail on.

POLYTHENE SHEET

Just in case the rain comes down and you need to cover in a hurry, have a polythene sheet on stand-by.
